SELECTION PROCESS: Once your application and payment are received your application and payment will be processed. The jury committee will review your application based on date it is received, items sold, quality of product, experience in the region, space available, and reputation with the Bite of Seattle®. You will be notified by the first week in April of the jury's decision. If you are not accepted, your payment (less the processing fee) will be processed at that time. Application and past participation does not guarantee acceptance.
BOOTH FEE: All applicants must include a check or credit card payment for the total booth fee to be considered for the jury process. If you withdraw your application within 5 days after it is received your deposit will be refunded less a $200 cancellation fee. If you withdraw anytime after the second week in March there is NO REFUND. If you are not accepted your booth fee will be refunded the first week of April.
CONDUCT/RESTRICTIONS: Any promotional giveaways, signs, posters, banners or stickers from any print or broadcast media other than an official Bite of Seattle® sponsor is prohibited. No alcoholic beverages, loud music, TV's or 'hawking' are allowed within or in the vicinity of your booth. Vendors are not allowed to advertise outside their booth space using 'rovers', flyers or sandwich boards. Vendors are not allowed to 'rove' with their merchandise at any time. The Festival reserves the right to restrict any activities that interfere with public access and/or Festival programming. Non-compliance of this agreement will put your event participation in jeopardy.
LOAD IN/LOAD OUT: Vendors will be advised on load-in time after acceptance. Load-in takes place two days prior to the festival (Wednesday & Thursday). Set-up must be complete and vehicles removed from the grounds by 10 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the festival. Late arrivals must walk in their supplies. Load-out begins after 8 p.m. Sunday. Vehicles are allowed access onto the grounds as soon as Bite of Seattle® declares it is safe. Festival hours: Friday and Saturday 11am - 9pm and Sunday 11am-8pm.
FOOD VOUCHER POLICY: ONLY vendors selling cooked and prepared foods are to accept official Bite Food Vouchers.
BOOTH TECHNICAL INFORMATION: Booth sizes are as stated on the application. Vendor agrees to serve only from inside the parameters of the canopy and plan the operation so everything fits entirely under the canopy including side awnings, walkways, etc. IF YOUR BOOTH SIZE EXCEEDS THE SIZE STATED ON THE APPLICATION YOU WILL BE ASKED TO REMOVE THE ITEMS.
SPONSORS: Bite of Seattle® reserves the right to choose event sponsors. This may include exclusive sponsorships of products and services. You will be notified of any exclusive agreements entered into by Bite of Seattle® that may affect your vending at the Festival. NO VENDORS IN THIS CATEGORY CAN SELL SUNGLASSES. NO CHIROPRACTORS OR CHIROPRACTIC CARE CAN BE OFFERED IN ANY CATEGORY.
CLEAN UP: Vendor is responsible for booth cleanup each night. At the end of the Festival each booth area must be left clean. If Bite of Seattle® has to dispose of any materials or cleanup after a Vendor that Vendor will be fined and/or responsible for those fees.
IMPROPER DISPOSAL: No dumping of any product, liquid or solid, is allowed anywhere on Seattle Center grounds. Illegal dumping is subject to fines by Bite of Seattle®, Seattle Center and the Seattle Public Utilities Department. Facilities are provided near the food booths for disposal of food waste, trash, recyclable products and grease. Vendors are responsible for all costs resulting from the improper disposal of materials.
INSURANCE: Please contact your insurance carrier or agent for a Certificate of Insurance evidencing Commercial General Liability Insurance with a limit of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence including $1,000,000 products liability naming the Bite of Seattle and Seattle Center as additional insured for activities and operations applicable to this application and its time period. The certificate must be received by the Bite of Seattle by May 22, 2015. If you DO NOT have insurance you will be required to sign an indemnification form upon acceptance.
SECURITY: Bite of Seattle® provides roaming security personnel at night throughout the festival grounds but Bite of Seattle® will not assume responsibility for lost or stolen items. Supplies and valuable or fragile equipment should be removed at night.
SIGNAGE RESTRICTIONS: Vendors must hang banners neatly and safely to your designated booth. Handwritten signs are not permitted. Signs representing vendors and companies other than the vendor covered under this agreement are not allowed on or in booths. Height restrictions on signage will be included in acceptance packet.
