Booth Information

Booth Packages Include:

  • BOOTH SPACE: One 10' x 10' SPACE in a high traffic location. You must provide your own canopy and booth furnishings.
  • ADVERTISING: All participants will receive a mention in the press kit and website inclusion (make sure to provide website link if applicable).
  • ELECTRICAL: Power available for an additional fee.
  • NOTE: All additional needs or services, above and beyond what is listed above, are to be arranged and paid for by the participating. No parking passes provided however can be purchased pre-event. NO SUNGLASSES OF ANY KIND CAN BE SOLD IN ANY OF THE BELOW CATEGORIES. NO Chiropractors or chiropractic care can be offered in any category.

Refunds: If you withdraw your application within 5 days after it is received your deposit will be refunded less a $200 cancellation fee. If you withdraw any time after March 15th, there is NO REFUND. If not accepted, booth fee (less processing fee) will be refunded the first week of April.

Processing Fee: There is a 3% processing fee for each application.

10x10 Hand Crafted Location, TOTAL $300: Vendor that sells merchandise hand made by the seller. No commercial or imported items in this area. It is mandatory that you email 1-2 pictures of your handcraft product to in order to be considered for the Jury Process.
10x10 Specialty Food Product Location, TOTAL $400: Vendor that sells pre-packaged food or food related items such as jams, jellies, dips, smoked and marinated products etc which are NOT sold in retail grocery chains. No cooking allowed!
10x10 Imports / Non Hand Crafted Merchandise/ Street Vendor Location, TOTAL $550: Vendor that sells commercially imported goods, crafts and misc merchandise NOT sold in retail chains OR a vendor that provides entertainment or an act or service (i.e. caricature artist, henna tattoos). Vendors cannot sell anything that could be considered a weapon (i.e. knives, swords, nunchucks).

Contractual Information

This Contract is made by and between Bite of Seattle® and the applicant, herein referred to as Vendor. The term of this Contract is from the signing (checking box above) by both parties of the Contract through December 31, 2016. In consideration of the mutual benefits to both parties, both parties agree to the following:

FEES AND SERVICES: Vendor and Bite of Seattle® will provide the fees and services outlined in the Craft Vendor Guidelines attached hereto and incorporated herein. Vendor will conform to the terms described in this application, contract, and Craft Vendor Guidelines.

PRODUCT LABELING: No Vendor will sell any merchandise that is misbranded, nor will Vendor misrepresent the size, quality, capabilities or other characteristics of any merchandise offered for sale.

ACTS OF NATURE: Neither Bite of Seattle® nor Vendor will be held liable for an inability to perform its obligations under this Contract due to acts of nature or any other circumstances beyond their control.

RIGHT TO DISAPPROVE MERCHANDISE OR PRICES: Bite of Seattle® reserves the right to disapprove prices and/or products to ensure that variety and diversity of products are offered to the public.

MEDIA RIGHTS: Vendor agrees to allow Bite of Seattle® and Seattle Center to photograph or record Vendors activities and permits use of such photographs or recordings for promotional purposes. All media access and relations will be coordinated by Bite of Seattle® prior to and during the Bite of Seattle®.

AMENDMENT: The parties hereto reserve the right to amend this Contract as they deem necessary and appropriate provided that no modification hereof will be valid unless in writing and signed by the authorized representatives of both parties.

INDEMNITY: Vendor agrees to indemnify and hold Bite of Seattle®, Seattle Center and City of Seattle harmless from any and all losses, claims, actions, damages and expenses arising out of its performance or lack of performance under this Contract. Vendor assumes all risk of loss or damage to Vendor’s property at any time while on Seattle Center grounds except in the event of the sole negligence of Bite of Seattle®, City of Seattle or Seattle Center. Mandatory signed Indemnification form due by May 20, 2016. If Vendor is selling food product or touching the public (i.e. face paint, henna) they must turn in a Certificate of Insurance).

SAFETY: Bite of Seattle® staff reserve the right to make modifications to Vendor’s booth if staff deems the booth presents a risk to neighboring booths or to the products within those booths as well as adjustments to size regulation of booth space.

COMPLIANCE WITH LAW: Vendor will at all times comply with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules and regulations and order of federal, state, county and city governments. Vendor will abide by all rules, regulations and directives of the Bite of Seattle® and Seattle Center. In the event it becomes necessary to employ an attorney to enforce any terms of conditions of this agreement, whether suite is instituted or not, the defaulting party shall pay all costs, expenses and reasonable attorney fees incurred by the non-defaulting party. Venue and jurisdiction for any suite shall lay in the Superior Court of Washington, in and for King County.

SOLICITATION: There will be no solicitation or distribution of materials or advertisements on the grounds unless specifically authorized by Bite of Seattle®.

TERMINATION: Bite of Seattle® may terminate this Contract at any time if Vendor fails to perform any obligation described in this Contract and its attachments.

Please Note - City of Seattle Firearms Policy:
All persons, except law enforcement officers, are prohibited from possessing any firearm on the permitted premises. You must adhere to this prohibition and take reasonable steps to notify all persons who work with you on the premises Seattle Center of this prohibition either verbally or in writing, and you must enforce this prohibition for the duration of your use of the Seattle Center grounds.

Craft Vendor Guidelines

SELECTION PROCESS: Once your application and payment are received your application and payment will be processed. The jury committee will review your application based on date it is received, items sold, quality of product, experience in the region, space available, and reputation with the Bite of SeattleĻ. You will be notified by the first week in April of the jury's decision. If you are not accepted, your payment (less the processing fee) will be refunded at that time. Application and past participation does not guarantee acceptance.

BOOTH FEE: All applicants must include a check or credit card payment for the total booth fee to be considered for the jury process. If you withdraw your application within 5 days after it is received your deposit will be refunded less a $200 cancellation fee. If you withdraw anytime after the second week in March there is NO REFUND. If you are not accepted your booth fee will be refunded the first week of April.

CONDUCT/RESTRICTIONS: Any promotional giveaways, signs, posters, banners or stickers from any print or broadcast media other than an official Bite of Seattle® sponsor is prohibited. No alcoholic beverages, loud music, TV's or 'hawking' are allowed within or in the vicinity of your booth. Vendors are not allowed to advertise outside their booth space using 'rovers', flyers or sandwich boards.  Vendors are not allowed to 'rove' with their merchandise at any time. The Festival reserves the right to restrict any activities that interfere with public access and/or Festival programming. Non-compliance of this agreement will put your event participation in jeopardy.

LOAD IN/LOAD OUT: Vendors will be advised on load-in time after acceptance. Load-in takes place two days prior to the festival (Wednesday & Thursday). Set-up must be complete and vehicles removed from the grounds by 10 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the festival. Late arrivals must walk in their supplies. Load-out begins after 8 p.m. Sunday. Vehicles are allowed access onto the grounds as soon as Bite of Seattle® declares it is safe. Festival hours: Friday and Saturday 11am-9pm and Sunday 11am-8pm.

FOOD VOUCHER POLICY: ONLY vendors selling cooked and prepared foods are to accept official Bite Food Vouchers.

BOOTH TECHNICAL INFORMATION: Booth sizes are as stated on the application. Vendor agrees to serve only from inside the parameters of the canopy and plan the operation so everything fits entirely under the canopy including side awnings, walkways, etc. IF YOUR BOOTH SIZE EXCEEDS THE SIZE STATED ON THE APPLICATION YOU WILL BE ASKED TO REMOVE THE ITEMS.

SPONSORS: Bite of Seattle® reserves the right to choose event sponsors and provide exclusivity on certain products and services. You will be notified of any exclusive agreements entered into by Bite of Seattle® that may affect your vending at the Festival. NO VENDORS IN THIS CATEGORY CAN SELL SUNGLASSES. NO CHIROPRACTORS OR CHIROPRACTIC CARE CAN BE OFFERED IN ANY CATEGORY.

CLEAN UP: Vendor is responsible for booth cleanup each night. At the end of the Festival each booth area must be left clean. If Bite of Seattle® has to dispose of any materials or cleanup after a Vendor that Vendor will be fined and/or responsible for those fees.

IMPROPER DISPOSAL: No dumping of any product, liquid or solid, is allowed anywhere on Seattle Center grounds. Illegal dumping is subject to fines by Bite of Seattle®, Seattle Center and the Seattle Public Utilities Department. Facilities are provided near the food booths for disposal of food waste, trash, recyclable products and grease. Vendors are responsible for all costs resulting from the improper disposal of materials.

INSURANCE: Please contact your insurance carrier or agent for a Certificate of Insurance evidencing Commercial General Liability Insurance with a limit of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence including $1,000,000 products liability naming the Bite of Seattle and Seattle Center as additional insured for activities and operations applicable to this application and its time period. The certificate must be received by the Bite of Seattle by May 20, 2016. If you DO NOT have insurance you will be required to sign an indemnification form upon acceptance.

SECURITY: Bite of Seattle® provides roaming security personnel at night throughout the festival grounds but Bite of Seattle® will not assume responsibility for lost or stolen items. Supplies and valuable or fragile equipment should be removed at night.

SIGNAGE RESTRICTIONS: Vendors must hang banners neatly and safely to your designated booth. Handwritten signs are not permitted. Signs representing vendors and companies other than the vendor covered under this agreement are not allowed on or in booths. Height restrictions on signage will be included in acceptance packet.

Payment Information

If accepted for participation in this event, you will be notified by the first week of April. Based on the selections you've made above, payment totals and options will be available on the next page of this application.
