WHAT IS THE BITE?
Are you the biggest foodie around... or at least you really enjoy trying different types of food (especially if it's local!) Well, the Albert Lee Appliance Bite of Seattle® is Seattle's original & largest food and beverage showcase and features 60+ restaurants and vendors, Craft Beer & Cider Tasting, live entertainment stages, watch local chefs perform live demonstrations and mystery ingredient cook-offs at The Bite Cooks! stage, free Bite Movie Night on Friday, July 19th, beer gardens featuring both local beers and spirits, signature cocktails, and much more!
A BITE OF HISTORY
It all began when our CFO, Alan (Big Al) Silverman, created and produced the first Bite of Seattle® at Green Lake Park in July, 1982. It was expected that 25,000 people would attend the two-day festival, however an estimated 75,000 people attended the first Bite, and sampled culinary creations from 25 restaurants. The Bite now attracts over 375,000 people over the three days and hosts over 60 restaurants, plus entertainment stages, live cooking demonstrations featuring local chefs, Bite movie night, MUNCHIES @ The Mural, and many other attractions. On Thursday, April 4, 2019, Alan Silverman, was inducted into the Washington Festival and Events Association Hall of Fame. For a bigger ‘bite’ of history, and to hear Alan’s speech, click HERE!
HOW MUCH IS ADMISSION?
It's FREE to attend to The Bite (that means more money for yummy food & drinks!) If you’re looking for a little more to ‘bite’ into, the Experience Bite Package might be for you; includes The Alley Six Course Multi-Bite Experience & Craft Beer and Cider Tasting on one ticket! Additionally, the standalone Craft Beer & Cider Package is available online to buy now. *Limited discounted packages on sale while supplies last.

Friday, July 19 & Saturday, July 20: 11am - 9pm
Sunday, July 21: 11am - 8pm (closes one hour earlier)
The Alley: Friday - Sunday, 11am - 7pm (All days while supplies last).
MUNCHIES @ The Mural: Friday 11am - 9pm. Saturday, 11am - 9pm. Sunday, 11am - 8pm

We love your pets but... guests are encouraged to leave their pets at home due to the large crowds and health-related issues. Thank you!
WHAT KIND OF FOOD WILL THE BITE BE SERVING UP?
Each restaurant will serve a variety of items from Ethnic cuisine to all American favorites. Check out our Dining section for all the menu items.
HOW MUCH DOES THE FOOD COST?
All food items and combo plates prices vary depending on food vendor. If you’re looking for a small taste in order to try all the different cuisines, our restaurants offer Just A Bite items that are $5.00 or less! Check out our Dining section for more. The Experience Bite Package gives you the chance to experience The Alley (6 large bites from top Seattle-area restaurants) plus Craft Beer & Cider Tasting for one discounted price. WHAT TYPE OF PAYMENT METHOD DO VENDORS ACCEPT AT THE BITE?
Each vendor is unique in that some accept cash only, while many accept both cash and credit/debit cards. There will be ATM machines onsite at the Bite. Please check with each vendor onsite for which type of payment method they accept.

DO YOU HAVE AN EVENT PROGRAM?
You can find our official 2018 event program HERE. The 2019 program will be run in The Seattle Times on Thursday, July 18, 2019, and there will be several places on site at The Bite, with programs for you to take!

HOW DID THE BITE OF SEATTLE® GET STARTED?
It all began in 1982 when Festivals Inc. CFO and local restaurateur, Alan Silverman created and produced the Bite of Seattle® in hopes of showcasing the local restaurant and food scene in Seattle. An estimated 75,000 people attended the first Bite at Green Lake and sampled culinary creations from 25 restaurants. Due to the massive growth & popularity, The Bite was later moved from Green Lake to Seattle Center. The Bite now attracts over 400,000 people in three days and hosts a combination of over 60 restaurants/specialty food product companies. In a continued effort to support all things "local," The Bite also has over 80 live bands featuring local & regional artists, The Bite Cooks! stage showcasing demonstrations and cook-offs from local chefs, local Craft Beer & Cider Tasting, and much more. The Bite of Seattle® is still the flagship event of Festivals Inc. and a local tradition for many each year.
