SAVE THE DATE - THE BITE OF SEATTLE® CELEBRATES 38 YEARS OF FOOD AND ENTERTAINMENT!


Wednesday, March 13, 2019 — Seattle, WA — Albert Lee Appliance, returns as the title sponsor, to celebrate the 38th annual Bite of Seattle®. The three-day food, beverage and live music festival takes place Friday through Sunday, July 19th-21st, 2019, at Seattle Center in Seattle Washington.

Located in the Uptown Neighborhood of Seattle, the Bite of Seattle® is the perfect festival for guests who prefer to ‘experience’ a wide variety of food and beverages, while listening to live music, in the heart of Seattle, amidst the historical landscape that played host to the 1962 World’s Fair.

The Bite of Seattle® will feature over 60 restaurants, plus food trucks, artisan, and specialty food vendors, which will offer food lovers a variety of sweet and savory ethnic dishes to include Creole, Asian, European, in addition to all-American festival favorites like burgers, corn dogs, and strawberry shortcake.

Guests looking for a high-end restaurant ‘multi-bite’ experience at the Bite of Seattle®, will enjoy The Alley. Located on the Fisher Rooftop, The Alley, now in it’s 31st year, will feature six Seattle-area restaurants, each to offer one signature menu item: six ‘larges bites’ for one price. The Alley will run Friday through Sunday 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Proceeds from The Alley will benefit Food Lifeline, the state’s largest hunger relief organization, which rescues surplus food from going to waste and redirects it to more than 300 food banks, shelters, and meal programs.

The Bite of Seattle® will also feature local chefs at The Bite Cooks! interactive live cooking show, presented by Albert Lee Appliance, which will take place each day of the festival, on the Fisher Rooftop, and will see some of Seattle’s best chefs go head-to-head in live cook-off battles, and perform cooking demonstrations of their signature dishes. Thierry Rautureau -The Chef in the Hat- will return for his 11th year as emcee of The Bite Cooks!

Craft Beer & Cider Tasting located in the Fisher Pavilion, at the Bite of Seattle®, will feature over 70 local Washington craft beers and ciders for purchase as a tasting package, which will include a souvenir tasting glass and six tastings. Additional tasting tickets will be available to purchase onsite.

Live music at the Bite of Seattle® spreads across three stags and will feature a diverse range of local acts, spanning genres like R&B, dance, Top 40, rock, and more: 2019 lineup to be announced.

The free Bite Movie Night will be held on Friday, July 19th on the Mural Stage, beneath the Space Needle, and will screen a fan favorite - announced April 2nd- movie as voted by public survey. The movie will commence at 8:30 p.m. Guests of all ages are welcome to watch the movie and to bring a blanket and lawn chairs. The Mural Beer Garden - 21 and over- will remain open during the movie.

Munchies @ The Mural located in the Mural Area -between the Armory and Pacific Science Center-, will return to the Bite of Seattle®, Friday through Sunday at regular festival hours, with an assortment of fun food items like deep-fried peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, dragon’s breath liquid nitrogen cereal, truffle potato twists, poke bowls, and gourmet pops.

Local handcraft and commercial goods vendors will showcase assorted items to include natural body products, artwork, clothing, jewelry, henna designs, and more.

The Bite of Seattle® is a free-to-attend community festival, and in an effort for attendees to experience the best of the Bite of Seattle®, we are excited to offer a discounted Experience Bite Package which includes Craft Beer & Cider Tasting + The Alley. The Experience Bite package will go on sale April 1st.
