BITE THIS! presented by Skate Like a Girl


The Seattle skate community will be coming out in full force for a weekend at the Bite that will be fun for skaters of all ages.  We will have clinics, demos, free skated, product throws, music and more!


Friday will be targeted for the ladies.  We will have FREE clinics for girls only, and one for older gals taught by Skate Like a Girl.  We will have a product toss and an all ladies demo featuring locals and pros (special guests flying up from California).

Saturday will be a showcase of the local talent in Seattle with skaters from the different teams in Seattle: Manik, Snowboard Connection and 35th N.  There will be a co-ed beginner clinic taught by skate coaches from Skate Barn, Bellevue Skatepark and Innerspace.  Marshall Reid of Manik will host the Best Trick contest!

Sunday will be a family day put together by Seattle's Skate Park Advisory Committe and Parents for Skate Parks.  Scott Shinn will be hosting a Master's clinic, and Skate Like a Girl will be hosting a parent / child clinic giving parents pointers on skating with their kids.

The weekend will be packed with activities, but also opportunities to skate the new park.  Register for clinics and best trick at skatelikeagirl.com between July 1st - July 10th.  Spaces are limited with 20 participants per clinic.  More information to come.

Amy Caron is one of the top female skaters in the world.  Placing in many contests like the X-Games, along with being influential skate videos like VVC's Getting Nowhere Faster.  Amy is also serves to promote female skaterboarding as a member of the Alliance, and recently started her own annual event: Girls Summer Gathering.  Amy is a talented skater and well loved by all skaters.

Lisa Whitaker is not only a great skater, but also a videographer dedicated to providing female skaters all over the world with the online place to go to get footage and news on female skaters: the Side Project.  Lisa is passionate about skateboarding and loves to get all gals out on a board!
