Double-time your dollar at the Groupon Bite of Seattle and enjoy a delicious meal while helping those in need. Food Lifeline is a local hunger relief organization, efficiently serving the Western Washington area by using 96% of its revenue to directly feed hungry people. Last year the organization delivered more than 24 million meals to hungry people through its network of nearly 300 neighborhood food banks, hot meal programs and shelters.
Since its inception in 1982, Seattle’s premier food festival has successfully retained a connection to the community by raising funds for local charities and once again, the Bite teams up with some of Western Washington’s most notable charity organizations to retain a connection to the community.
Food Lifeline, a primary partner with the Bite, benefits from the event in a number of ways. Diners who drop in on the long-standing Bite favorite, The Alley hosted by Tom Douglas, will contribute a portion of their $10 Alley admission toward Food Lifeline’s mission to end hunger.
Additionally, visitors hungry to help can also look for Food Lifeline’s bright yellow donation boxes throughout The Alley and do their bit at the Bite to provide for others.
Food Lifeline works to end hunger in Western Washington and last year the organization helped feed more than 686,000 people.
